Abstract
A patient with chronic meningococcemia had a characteristic clinical course with periodic fever every two days and a typical cutaneous eruption. The diagnosis was made after culturing meningococci from the blood. It is extremely important to take blood samples for cultures during the febrile period. The treatment of choice is massive doses of penicillin. This publication has 9 references indexed in Scilit:
