IMMUNOLOGIC ENHANCEMENT OF SARCOMA I BY MOUSE 7-GLOBULIN FRACTIONS

Abstract
Passive immunologic enhancement of Sarcoma I (Sal) was studied in B10.D2 (“old” subline) mice. B10.D2 anti-Sal serum and ascites fluid were fractionated by starch block electrophoresis and by DEAE-chromatography. Whereas the fast γ-globulin fraction of serum obtained by starch block electrophoresis provoked slight immunologic enhancement, the identical fraction of ascites fluid was inactive. However, enhancing activity was found in the slow γ-globulin fractions of both serum and ascites fluid.
