Resistance to Bacteria in Hemorrhagic Shock. I. Decline in Phagocytosis-Promoting Capacity of Serum in Shock.

Abstract
Dogs were transfused after 2 hours of severe hemorrhagic shock or after 4-5 hours, when they are no longer responsive to transfusion. Recovery of normal phagocytosis-promoting capacity of serum in survivors required more than 24 hours.
