Abstract
A small low resolution mass spectrometer in the shape of a cylinder of over‐all dimensions 8.6×4.5 cm is described. The use of an enveloping yoke shields the magnetic fringing field, making the spectrometer suitable for association with devices such as electron selectors. Small Alnico V pole pieces supply a field of 1800 G, which analyzes 40 eV mass 8 ions with a resolving power of 10×.Keywords
