Abstract
Calculations of the intrinsic double-escape peak efficiency of cylindrical Li-Ge detectors for parallel beam of gamma rays ranging in energy from 1.5 to 10 MeV, were carried out using a computer code based on the Monte-Carlo method. The detectors considered are 18 mm. in diameter with 2, 3.5, 4, 5, 8 and 10 mm. depletion depth. Comparison is made with the experimental results of Ewan and Tavendale1 for a 18 × 3.5 mm. detector. Keywords
