Abstract
This review is a guide to the original scientific literature (through 1966) pertinent to possible effects of our exposure to the trace amounts of surfactants which may enter our environment via sewage. The data show beyond any reasonable question that the margin of safety is very great, and there is no indication that hazard exists. Keywords
