Abstract
Recent advances in the understanding of viral kinetics and drug therapies have led to the real possibility that HIV can be kept under tight control or that an infected person can be rendered totally free of virus. There are major hurdles in the way of these goals, and David Ho discusses some of the strategies being considered.Keywords
