Abstract
Rabbits sensitized to horse serum developed a bac-teremia of 9-12 hrs.'' duration when inoculated simultaneously with normal horse serum and a strain of Strep. hemolyticus, while the bacteria could only be isolated from the blood stream of non-sensitized animals within the first 3 hrs. after inoculation. On the other hand, when antisera were employed as antigen for shocking the sensitized rabbits, there was a significant increase in no. of bacteria in the blood stream in contrast to the controls, but there was no evidence of prolongation of bacteremia. This publication has 1 reference indexed in Scilit:
