Experimental and predicted bond energies of gaseous rare-earth aurides

Abstract

The experimental dissociation energies for the diatomic molecules LaAu, CeAu, PrAu, and NdAu are presented and compared with the values that were calculated on the basis of the Pauling concept of a polar bond.
