Observation of Quantal Release of Noradrenaline from Vascular Smooth Muscles in Potassium-free Solution

Abstract
In the electrophysiological studies of the smooth muscle cell of the mesenteric artery, we observed a massive release of noradrenaline from nerve terminals in K-free solution. The nature of K-free induced contraction is discussed in relation to the generation of miniature excitatory junction potentials and drug actions.
