Abstract
Burch colposuspension is a simple retropubic approach for the management of stress incontinence. Major complications are rare but kinking of the ureter can occur in such a procedure, especially in patients who previously have undergone hysterectomy. Careful dissection of the vagina and identification of the ureters are necessary before colposuspension is attempted. Keywords
