Abstract

S. incrassata sp. nov. is described. Six species of red algae recently described from the North and South Carolina are reported for Florida; Petroglossum undulatum, Hypnea volubilis, Gloioderma atlantica, G. blomquistii, Branchioglossum prostratum and B. minutum.
