Abstract
We present some thoughts on the practice of just-in-time (JIT) manufacturing. The discussion is focused on three building blocks of JIT manufacturing, namely, waste elimination, workplace organization and total employee involvement. Important implementation issues for a successful JIT program are also considered. Keywords
