Bovine Grafts in Vascular Access for Hemodialysis: Loop Versus Straight Forearm Configuration

Abstract
Described was experience with 25 bovine grafts for vascular access and hemodialysis in 19 patients. Loop forearm grafts gave significantly better results than the straight forearm configuration. The higher flow rate attendant upon the use of the brachial artery was more important to graft success than was the configuration of the graft itself.
