Abstract
Pestalotia menezesiana Bres. & Torr., reported to cause dieback of rooted cuttings of Cissus rhombifolia Vahl in Ontario greenhouses, is redisposed in Pestalotiopsis and a description of the fungus in pure culture is provided. Eight other species assigned originally to Pestalotia and occurring on Vitaceae are discussed. A key is presented to differentiate these species on the basis of conidial morphology. The following new combinations are proposed: Truncatella pitospora (da Costa & da Camara) Bissett, Pestalotiopsis uvicola (Speg.) Bissett, and Pestalotiopsis quadriciliata (Bubák & Dearness) Bissett.
