Abstract
Protected peptides related to the C-terminal octapeptide sequence (1) of the B-chain of bovine insulin, including those in which phenylalanine-24 and -25 have been replaced by alanine and by N-methylphenylalanine, have been synthesised by the picolyl ester method for use in the semi-synthesis of modified insulins. A further example of the usefulness of the piperidino-oxycarbonyl amino-protection group, cleaved selectively by sodium dithionite, is provided. This publication has 1 reference indexed in Scilit:
