Abstract
Enhancement of mixing using electrowetting-on-dielectric (EWOD) actuation is demonstrated. Exponential improvement over simple diffusion is theorized, based on convolutions generated by discrete droplet flow. The relationship between particle size, distance diffused, and diffusion time is studied. An improvement of 50 times over simple diffusion is experimentally shown, using a simple dye-mixing experiment. Keywords
