ETIOLOGICAL RELATION BETWEEN KOREAN HEMORRHAGIC-FEVER AND NEPHROPATHIA EPIDEMICA

Abstract
A close etiological relation between Korean hemorrhagic fever and nephropathia epidemica of Scandinavia was suggested because of similarities in their clinical picture and epidemiology. This relation was confirmed serologically; raised titers of antibody [Ab] to Korean hemorrhagic fever agent and seroconversions were found by the indirect fluorescent Ab technique in 20 patients with nephropathia epidemica.
