Abstract
Thirty Ss were allowed to inspect a set of slides varying in content for an unlimited time. Looking time was found to be dependent upon stimulus variables: content of the slides, position in the series, level of complexity, and affect level of the figures. Tests of personality traits and factors failed to account for individual differences in inspection time. Keywords
