Effects of Glucagon on Plasma Potassium.

Abstract
In cats under Dial anesthesia intravenous glucagon (50 fig/ kg) produced a marked, transient increase in arterial plasma K concentration. This effect reached its peak in one minute and at 10 and 30 minutes plasma K concentration was below the control level. Arterial plasma glucose concentration rose most rapidly during the first minute following the glucagon administration and after 10 minutes the glucose level declined.
