LATE RELAPSE OF PULMONARY BLASTOMYCOSIS AFTER ADEQUATE TREATMENT WITH AMPHOTERICIN-B - CASE-REPORT

Abstract

A 53 yr old man experienced relapse of pulmonary blastomycosis 9 yr after having been treated successfully with amphotericin B and responding satisfactorily to retreatment. Relapse of blastomycosis after adequate treatment with amphotericin B is apparently uncommon. Published reports include relatively few patients who have had long term follow-up.
