Abstract
A technic for the micro-estimation and separation of ammonia and the 3 methylamines is described. Some factors influencing the relative positions of amines on gas-liquid partition chromatograms are discussed. A method of applying the amines to the columns starting from a soln. of the amine salts is descr. All the curves illustrated were obtained by the use of the automatic recording burette described by James and Martin (ibid. 50: 679. 1952). Three types of manual microburette are described, together with appropriate titration procedures. Keywords
