Occurrence of bufalitoxin, cinobufotoxin and their homologs in Japanese toad.

Abstract
The isolation and characterization of 9 new bufotoxins from the skin of Japanese toad [Bufo vulgaris formosus] is described. They were efficiently separated and purified by high-speed liquid chromatography. The structures were elucidated to be bufalitoxin homologs, cinobufotoxin homologs, arenobufotoxin and cinobufotalitoxin by degradative means.
