Abstract
Autopsy of 73 stray cats in Jerusalem showed that 19 had Aelurostrongylus abstrusus embedded in the parenchyma of the lungs. A complete descr. is given. Troglostrongylus brevior n. sp. is descr. from the bronchi of Felis ocreata and Catolynx chaus caught near the Dead Sea. ANAFILAROIDES, in Filaroidinae, is proposed for A. rostratus n. sp. from the lungs of a domestic cat. The life cycles of all 3 spp. were studied; larvae develop in terrestrial mollusks. The life cycle of T. brevior was experimentally reproduced. The taxonomic position of the genera is discussed. Keywords
