Abstract
In a multi-factor crop rotation experiment laid out on two different soils (Calcic Chernozem and Sand-Podzol) in 1984/85, soil analysis from 1985 to 1988 revealed considerable amounts of atrazine and simazine residues to occur even more than 350 days after Wonuk (50% atrazine) had been applied at a rate of 2.5 kg/ha to silage maize. These residues caused yield decline in subsequent winter wheat on chernozem soil. Non-plough tillage resulted in higher soil triazine concentrations. The damage thresholds pointed out in the relevant literature seem to be too high. This publication has 3 references indexed in Scilit:
