Artificial Radioactivity Produced by Alpha-Particles

Abstract

Half-lives and thick target yields have been measured for some of the radioactive product reactions accessible with 9 Mev alpha-particles accelerated in a cyclotron. The radioactive isotopes are ${\mathrm{N}}^{13}$, ${\mathrm{F}}^{17}$, ${\mathrm{Al}}^{28}$, ${\mathrm{P}}^{30}$, ${\mathrm{Cl}}^{34}$, ${\mathrm{K}}^{38}$, ${\mathrm{Fe}}^{53}$(?), ${\mathrm{Mn}}^{56}$, ${\mathrm{Cu}}^{61}$, ${\mathrm{Zn}}^{63}$, ${\mathrm{Ga}}^{66}$, ${\mathrm{Ga}}^{68}$, ${\mathrm{Br}}^{78}$, ${\mathrm{Rb}}^{82}$, ${\mathrm{Rb}}^{84}$.
