Abstract
The fine structure ad the intensities of the main optical absorption bands in hydrated cobaltons salts are investigated theoretically on the basis of the crystal field theory. Calculations are made on the assumption that the crystals field is of cubic symmetry and the same model as used in the previous calculations for Mg2+ salts is adopted for the normal vibrations of the complex. Reasonable agreements between observed and calculated results are obtained. Keywords
