Reverse Phase Gradient Elution for Chemically Bonded C18 Thin Layer Chromatographic Plates

Abstract
A unique apparatus for the production of solvent gradients in the development of reverse-phase thin layer chromatographic plates (RPTLC) is described. A four-component mixture is resolved using gradient elution RPTLC. Separations are compared to chromatograms made by reverse-phase high performance liquid chromatography (HPLC). Some limitations are briefly discussed.
