Abstract
A series of 63 cases with the follicular type of malignant lymphoma from whom biopsy or necropsy material was available has been studied from a histologic, clinical, roent-genographic, and therapeutic point of view. Morphologically, a characteristic modification of the general nodal architecture was apparent. In addition, individual follicle structure was divisible into 4 types which presumably represented sequential changes in the lesion and could be correlated with the duration of the disease in a given case. Clinically the syndrome was sufficiently similar to other forms of malignant lymphoma to be included with them, but varied enough in certain respects to warrant consideration in a distinct entity. Although no special roentgeno-graphic features were detectable the therapeutic response to irradiation was considerably better than that noted with any other form of malignant lymph node disease. Keywords
