Abstract
D-Fucosamine was isolated from the polysaccharides of Bacillus licheniformis and B. subtilis. The amino sugar preparations were identified by their behavior on paper and ion-exchange chromatograms, by their color reactions and by their physical properties. The possible metabolic interrelations between D-fucosamine and the other amino sugars from B. licheniformis are discussed. This publication has 13 references indexed in Scilit:
