Effect of N - m -Tolylphthalamic Acid on Tomato Flower Formation

Abstract
N-m-tolylphthalamic acid (200 ppm) applied at the anthesis of the 1st, 2d, and 3d flower clusters greatly increased the number of flowers per cluster, particularly after the 4th cluster of indeterminate varieties. Yield was also affected and resulted in delayed maturity and a decrease in total production.
