Non-Equilibrium Thermodynamics and Its Corrections to Thermal Equilibrium. II

Abstract

Non-equilibrium thermodynamics is further studied by using the adiabatic theorem and the adiabatic expansion. The time dependence of the internal variables is determined and the exact form of the TDGL equation is derived. Several non-equilibrium phenomena are discussed; the increase of the entropy or the decrease of the free energy, the diffusion equation including the discussion on the influence of the conservation law.
