Displacement; steeper gradient of generalization of avoidance than of approach with age of habit controlled.

Abstract

Age of habit and number and distribution of training trials were controlled for approach and avoidance habits in a comparison of stimulus generalization gradients. The rats were tested in the same and in a different alley with strength of pull against a restraint as the measure.
