Abstract
The energy distribution of Λ's coming from K capture stars at rest has been obtained measuring Λ's found by area scanning in photographic emulsion. This distribution is compared to a theoretical one obtained with an optical-model calculation. The conversion process (ΣN)Λp plays an importqnt part in the final state of Λ production. Our results indicate that the conversion process is dominated by the ΣN triplet state and also that there is an enhancement in the Λp invariant-mass plot at about 2110 MeV with Γ20 MeV.
