Abstract
Local administration of zinc peroxide, tyrothricin and mixtures of sulfadiazine and urea, and sulfadiazine and zephiran were investigated in C. welchii infection in mice. Infection was produced by intramusc. inoculation. A suspension of the drugs were injd. subcut. into or near the site of infection. Zinc peroxide or tyrothricin had no protective action. Mixtures of sulfadiazine and urea or sulfadiazine and zephiran were no more effective than sulfadiazine alone. The lesions resulting at the site of inoculation were as extensive as those observed in untreated animals. This publication has 5 references indexed in Scilit:
