A COMPARISON OF THE CALCIUM CONTENT OF HUMAN CEREBROSPINAL FLUID WITH THAT OF AN ULTRAFILTRATE OF SERUM

Abstract
The Ca contents of the CSF, serum and an ultrafiltrate of the serum in 80 subjects were practically all within the usually accepted normal limits. A comparison of the CSF Ca values with those of the ultrafiltrates appears to support the view that over the normal range of serum Ca values the CSF Ca is a close measure of the diffusible Ca of the blood.
