Some Properties of the Glottal Sound Source

Abstract
The dynamic relations between the area and the volume flow of air through the human glottis during phonation are discussed, and waveforms of glottal volume deduced from previous data. Amplitude spectra are plotted and a small-signal equivalent circuit for the glottal sound source is determined. Application of these results to the synthesis of speech by analog techniques is indicated.
