Abstract
Tetrachloro–μ‐hydroxo–μ‐carboxylatodichromium (III) complexes have been used to induce homeotropic alignment of nematic, smectic, and large‐pitch cholesteric liquid crystals. A dynamic scattering degradation test has shown that this orientation is remarkably stable. Keywords
