The Palatability of Coastal Bermudagrass (Cynodon dactylon (L) Pers.) as Influenced by Nitrogen Level and Age1

Abstract
Synopsis: In this experiment, the palatability of Coastal Bermudagrass was improved substantially by nitrogen fertilization. There was no evidence to indicate that annual rates up to 1,500 pounds of nitrogen per acre decreased the palatability of this grass. Two‐week‐old grass was more palatable than 4‐week‐old grass.
