Abstract
Burgers vectors of grain boundary dislocations in important coincidence boundaries are calculated from a set of general equations derived for the three principal cubic structures. The Burgers vectors in high-order coincidence systems are mostly small in magnitude, but a large vector can occur for a coincidence system involving a low-index rotation axis. It is suggested that the boundary dislocations observed by transmission electron microscopy in usual polycrystalline specimens are of this type. Keywords
