THE SELECTION OF A DDT-TOLERANT STRAIN OF MICE AND SOME CHARACTERISTICS OF THAT STRAIN

Abstract
A colony of laboratory mice selected by intraperitoneal injection of DDT in sesame oil developed definite DDT-tolerance by generation 10. This tolerance was found to extend to the related chemicals lindane and dieldrin when administered by intraperitoneal injection. Fecundity, growth, and visual health were unimpaired.
