Abstract
A 15-ton sandwich detector is being installed in the Neutrino Facility at LAMPF to study neutrino electron elastic scattering and neutrino oscillations. An electronics system, intended to service the 160 scintillation counters of this detector, has been designed. This system is CAMAC based, and consists of 40 Analog/ Digital/Logic (ADL) modules and a Control module. This system allows us to define triggers and to record energy and time of events in the scintillation counters. This is implemented for a duration of 32 μs before, and 64 ms after the trigger. The Control module and prototype ADL modules have been built and tested. We give the design and performance of these units.
