Abstract
The development of the jaws is described and discussed in relation to the teeth during ontogeny of the albino mouse. The tilting of the molars and particularly the off-setting of the lower molars from the jaw axis is regarded as playing an essential part in the tooth-jaw relationship and in the establishment of correct functional occlusion. Keywords
