Abstract
Boars were fed with S35 sulphate thiolhistidine, methionine and ergothioneine. The distr. of S35 was studied in the blood, urine and semen. It was shown that neither sulphate nor thiolhistidine is utilized in the biosynthesis of ergothioneine. The sulphur of methionine is incorporated into ergothioneine. Dietary ergothioneine appears in the seminal plasma of the boar. This publication has 9 references indexed in Scilit:
