Preparation of microwave-excited electrodeless discharge tubes for titanium, vanadium and zirconium for use as spectral-line sources

Abstract
The preparation of microwave-excited electrodeless discharge tubes as spectral-line sources for the atomic-absorption and atomic-fluorescence spectroscopy of titanium, vanadium and zirconium is described. A long, cylindrical, resonant cavity has been found particularly useful for elements such as these.
