Abstract
The method provides a means of recording paramagnetic resonance spectra on the chart of a recording potentiometer. The recorder trace presents the microwave power reflected from a resonant cavity containing the paramagnetic salt as a function of magnet current. A modulation scheme automatically eliminates the influence of changes in the real part of the susceptibility. With a frequency of 9375 mc/sec, traces linear in magnetic field have been recorded over of a range of 6000 oersteds; also, individual lines as narrow as one oersted have been recorded with an accuracy which permits a detailed line‐shape analysis. Typical recorder traces are shown. Keywords
