Abstract
In the strong absorption limit, the one-dimensional second-order differential equation is obtained for the wave field in the low energy electron diffraction. The solution of the differential equation is given approximately and the “resonance condition,” “ordinary Bragg peaks” and “secondary Bragg peaks” are discussed. Keywords
