Computation of electrical field and potential around stranded conductor by analytical method and comparison with charge-simulation method

Abstract

The electric field and potential around a stranded conductor are computed by an analytical method. The results obtained by the analytical method are compared with those obtained by the charge-simulation method to check the accuracy of the latter, which is much easier than the analytical method.
