Abstract
The Dirac character operators are evaluated for the classes of the symmetric group consisting of the triad, double interchange, tetrad, and pentad, and the corresponding grouptheoretical primitive characters are listed for comparison. It is also shown that the evaluation of these and similar character operators is all that is required for the solution of the standard molecular problems in the spirit of Dirac's original program which avoids appeal to formal group theory. Keywords
