Abstract
Approximate equations are derived for the trajectories of charged particles through static electromagnetic fields. A method of high-accuracy electron-ray tracing which is an order of magnitude faster than conventional methods is described. The methods employed permit the electrons to achieve relativistic energies and include the effect of both inertial mass change and the self-magnetic field of the apace current. Keywords
